I have been busy rewriting Veil of Shadows. There was much work to be done on the first few chapters. I am grateful for Rose who has been very helpful as a beta reader. There is much work to be done, but it is coming along. I had intended to release Vail of Shadows this year, but have changed my mind and am now pushing for 2025. Sometimes this is just how it goes. I have also decided that once it is in good shape I will put out on submission. Not guts no glory am I right?
If you are a new writer know that whatever you choose to do whether to go on submission or independently publish your manuscript yourself is up to you. There is no right or wrong way of doing this. Everyone's journey is different and the best advise I can give you is to join writing communities around your area or even online like on discord, reddit just to give you an idea of where to look.
Oh and another piece of advise, DO NOT COMPARE YOUR WRITING TO ANYONE ELSE.
This is a sure way of getting yourself discouraged. Not every author will have the same experience. Some have been honing their craft for years. If you have a story that wont leave you alone no matter how hard you try to tell yourself that no one want's to read, do it! Write it! We all have different taste books. Are you telling yourself that the story has already been done? True, but it has't been done in your voice. I couldn't tell you how many retellings of Cinderella I've read. All told from different POV's. Do it! I know you can!
